According to police, 57-year-old Robert Cohen hit the back of the tractor-trailer so hard, the impact split his engine in two. He was killed instantly. Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to extricate Cohen from the wreckage. Police are trying to determine if the driver fell asleep or became ill before the accident.
