Gas tops $3 a gallon at some Hudson Valley stations

Posted: Updated:

Nationwide gas prices have been on the rise, and the price tag for a gallon has topped $3 at some Hudson Valley stations.

A Citgo gas station on the Palisades Parkway is one of the highest-priced stations in the entire metro area with a price tag of $3.08 a gallon. The average price of gas nationwide is now $2.67, up 32 cents from last month. Financial analysts say prices might continue to climb. Drivers say they are not happy about the steady price increase at the pump.

Motorists are avoiding many of the higher-priced stations in Hudson Valley. Drivers in the area know if they go about 10 miles farther into New Jersey, they will spend about 80 cents less a gallon.
