Posted: Updated:

The family of a fallen soldier from Tuxedo is remembering him as a beloved brother, husband and hero.

Sergeant Jonathan Cadavero, 24, was killed by a roadside bomb while riding in an armored Humvee in Baghdad Tuesday. He worked as a medic for the Second Brigade Special Troops Battalion. Cadavero?s family says he served his country as he lived his life, with commitment, integrity and honor.

Cadavero married his girlfriend a few months ago. She is also serving in Iraq with a military police unit. The couple was planning a big wedding celebration when they both returned home to the states. Instead, his wife is flying home for her husband's funeral services. Cadavero is the sixth soldier from Orange County to die in the war on terror.
