Yorktown mom charged in deadly DWI crash pleads guilty

The Yorktown mother charged in a deadly drunk driving crash pleaded guilty Friday at the Westchester County Courthouse in White Plains.
Anne Marie Ciarcia, 47, pleaded guilty to manslaughter, vehicular assault and DWI charges. Ciarcia pleaded guilty as part of a plea deal that will most likely get her two to six years in state prison. Ciarcia is accused of driving drunk on the Saw Mill River Parkway in Dobbs Ferry after a night of clubbing in September with her teen daughter and her daughter?s friend.
Police say Ciarcia?s blood alcohol level was two times over the legal limit when she drove the wrong way and crashed on the parkway. Her daughter?s friend, 16-year-old Emily Cornish, was killed in the crash. Both her daughter and the driver of the other vehicle were injured in the crash.
Ciarcia will be formally sentenced on March 23.
