Spitzer administration vows to return government to people

Tuesday marks the second day of Governor Eliot Spitzer's (D-NY) new administration, and Democrats say they're ready to make changes in New York and Washington. The common political message in 2007 is one of returning government to the people. That message is one that longtime Congresswoman Nita Lowey (D-Harrison) says she is proud to deliver. Lowey attended Monday's inauguration where Spitzer put politicians on notice, saying the days of looking out only for themselves are over. Local representatives say they think voters who asked for a change will see it this year. The governor is scheduled to deliver his first State of the State address Wednesday at 1 p.m.
