Lawyers for Greenburgh dominatrix say tapes prove she was harassed
Much-anticipated audio tapes in the dominatrix case involving the Greenburgh Police Department were released on Friday. The woman's attorneys insist the tapes prove she was targeted because of her profession, while the Greenburgh police chief says the tapes support the grounds for her arrest. The internal affairs tapes were recorded inside the Greenburgh police station the night professional dominatrix Gina Pane was arrested on marijuana charges. Pane claims officer Erik Ward showed up at the Greenburgh multiplex when she was arrested and said if she cooperated and fulfilled a fantasy of his, the drug charges would be dropped. Pane testified she did so the day after she was released. Ward is not heard on the tapes because the prosecution was not required to turn the tapes with him over. However, Pane's lawyers say the tapes with the arresting officers prove she was intimidated, harassed and forced to hear sexually charged jokes about her profession.Pane has filed papers to sue the Greenburgh Police Department for $2 million, claiming she agreed to the alleged kinky sex act with the officer in hopes of getting the marijuana possession charge dismissed. Ward was charged with official misconduct and his non-jury trial began Monday. Ward's attorney claims there was no sexual act and says Pane is lying.
