Boyfriend unknowingly leads home invader to girlfriend's house, police say
Police arrested a man they say is responsible for a home invasion involving an elderly woman in Middletown.
According to police, 22-year-old Craig Lassiter had met the victim?s boyfriend previously and used that information to force his way into the home and rob the victim. Police say Lassiter knocked on the victim?s front door asking for her boyfriend. When she said he wasn't home, police say Lassiter kicked down the door, pushed the 64-year-old to the floor and took cash.
Detectives interviewed the victim?s boyfriend, who led them to Lassiter. Thursday night, police arrested Lassiter but they say there is another suspect at large. Lassiter is charged with third-degree robbery.
