Spring Valley medical clinic fires back over discrimination accusation

A Spring Valley medical clinic is firing back over accusations it's religiously discriminating against certain groups.
The Spring Valley chapter of the NAACP filed a complaint with the state Division of Human Rights on the basis of religious discrimination because the clinic is not open on Saturdays, which is the Jewish Sabbath. The Ben Gilman Medical and Dental Clinic, which serves a large black, Hispanic and Hasidic Jewish population, filed a response denying all claims of discrimination. An attorney for the clinic says the First Amendment allows the clinic to close on Saturday and open on Sunday.
However, the NAACP's president disagrees. He says people get sick seven days a week and can't always take off to see a doctor on weekdays.
The matter will now be investigated by the state human rights division.
