Vandals strike Rockland synagogue for second time
Vandals once again made their mark on a synagogue in Wesley Hills.
The words 'support Israel' were found Monday on the side of Congregation Kehillas Bais Yehudah on Lime Kiln Road. Anti-Arab messages were also found spray-painted on the sidewalk of the entrance to Sikorsky Park, which is near the synagogue. Police believe juveniles are responsible and say the vandalism at the synagogue is unique.
It's the second time this year the synagogue was vandalized. In January, the temple was spray-painted with swastikas and other lewd messages. Police arrested three teens in that incident. Police are now in the process of reviewing surveillance video from the most recent vandalism.
