More than 100 pounds of pot confiscated during Middletown drug bust

More than 100 pounds of pot was confiscated during a drug bust in Middletown, according to police. The drugs are worth about $500,000 on the street and police say were set to be delivered to a local business. The pot allegedly was meant for 40-year-old Thompsonville resident Douglas Nolan. Police say they received a tip Monday that the pot was being delivered by UPS. They say they immediately went to the New Windsor UPS center and found the packages filled with 60 pounds of pot. Police then followed the UPS truck carrying the packages to the Trinity Healing Center on East Main Street. While there, police say a FedEx truck was pulling up with 67 more pounds of marijuana. Nolan was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of marijuana. Police believe the packages, sent from another state, were eventually destined for Monticello where police say Nolan had another business.
