Bones found in Ramapo cemetery... above ground

An investigation by Ramapo police is underway after workers at Evergreen Cemetery in Tallman discovered three pieces of skull above ground.
The medical examiner determined that the bones are human and appear to be native American. They also seem to be at least several decades old. Right now police say there is no reason to suspect foul play. It is believed that cemetery workers may have mistakenly uncovered an unmarked grave as they continue to make use of the grounds.
Officials say they will continue the investigation after an expert determines the race of the remains.
