Posted: Updated:

Newburgh police have deemed the death of a man found in the trunk of a car to be a homicide.

Police say a group of teens playing outside Sunday, discovered the body after smelling a foul odor coming from the car. The teens say they noticed blood dripping out of the trunk and waved down a detective who happened to be driving by.

Few details concerning the victim have been released. But residents around the area say the man was caucasian and the car was a burgundy Ford Taurus.
