Weaponless robber makes off with $1,000 from Nanuet bank
A thief walked into a Nanuet bank Monday and walked away with about $1,000 without flashing a weapon, according to police.Police say the man walked into Provident Bank on Route 59 and gave the teller a note demanding money. The robber then asked for the note back. No one else in the bank realized that a robbery had taken place.The thief wore nothing to mask his face, which was caught on surveillance tape. Police say they have contacted the FBI to see if any other area robberies were carried out by a suspect who asked for a note back.
