Indian Point plant on guard after foiled terrorist plot

The latest U.K.-airline terror threat serves as a reminder to residents of other potential targets, such as the Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) says the current threat does not involve any power plants. However, the NRC has told Indian Point plant owner, Entergy, and other nuclear plant owners not to let their guard down. Ever since September 11th, there has been concern that the power plant in Buchanan could be a terror target.
While the threat to bomb planes over the Atlantic is different from what happened on 9/11, critics of Indian Point say it still makes them more fearful about the plant. They say a continued threat of terrorism constitutes a threat to the power plant and security should be beefed up.
