Excessive heat plagues Westchester, Hudson Valley

The mercury is expected to climb to 100 degrees in Westchester and Hudson Valley Tuesday and residents are advised to take precautions.
There is an excessive heat warning out for the region for the next two days. Weather forecasters say with the humidity temperatures will feel like well over 100 degrees. It is recommended that people stay indoors in the air conditioning. Residents without air conditioning are advised to take advantage of cooling centers set up throughout Westchester and Hudson Valley.
As for those people who must be out in the heat, such as road crews, they are advised to drink plenty of water and take many breaks in the shade.
