New City woman returns from humanitarian effort in Israel

While many Americans are fleeing the Mideast amid the conflict, a New City woman made the trip to Israel to help.
Carol Blau returned from war-torn Israel after a three-day trip with members of a Jewish federation. Blau along with almost 70 Americans made the journey to help out in any way possible. The group helped send care packages to bomb shelters after seeing firsthand how much in need they were.
Blau says Israelis are in need of both spiritual and financial support from America. Blau will now begin visiting several Jewish congregations in Rockland to talk about her trip and ask for financial support.
