Scarsdale bears brunt of powerful thunderstorms

Westchester is dealing with the effects of Tuesday?s nights severe weather and Scarsdale was particularly hard hit by the powerful thunderstorm.
Downed trees and power lines littered Fairview Road off Route 22 in Scarsdale. More than 120 trees came crashing down in Scarsdale due to the high winds. The Department of Public Works says a major electric transform is down, keeping residents in the dark. Officials say the area is expected to be without power for at least three to four more days.
The rest of the county is also dealing with downed trees, power outages and other damages from the storm. The National Weather Service is expected to come to Westchester again Thursday to see if another tornado may have touched down.
