Disaster assistance center opens for Orange County flood victims

Posted: Updated:

A new form of relief has arrived for victims of flooding that hit Orange County last month.

Both the Port Jervis and Deerpark communities were hit hard by the devastating floods along the Delaware River. To help the hundreds who were forced from their homes due to a state of emergency, a new recovery centered opened at the Anna Kuhl Elementary School in Port Jervis. The center opened its doors Tuesday and already has flood victims coming in for help.

The center is designed to provide flood victims with the information and resources they need.
