Andrew Cuomo gets key endorsement for attorney general race

Posted: Updated:

Westchester Democrats are endorsing the frontrunner in the five-way race for state attorney general.

County leaders quickly chose Andrew Cuomo after Assemblyman Richard Brodsky (D-Elmsford) announced that he was dropping out of the race to donate a kidney to his daughter. Many said choosing Cuomo made the best sense. Cuomo says the endorsement of the county will be a big boost in getting the party?s nomination.

Cuomo is joined in the race by former prosecutor Charlie King, former New York City Public Advocate Mark Green and former Clinton aide Sean Maloney. The sole Republican candidate is former Westchester District Attorney Jeanine Pirro.
