Native American from Monroe is buried; friends seek justice

A Ramapough Native American from Monroe who was shot by a New Jersey park ranger was laid to rest Friday, as fellow tribe members vow to seek justice.
Emil Mann, 44, was shot in the leg and chest by Park Ranger Chad Walder during an altercation in Ringwood State Park on April 1. Mann died from complications due to gun shot wounds on Monday. Police say Mann and his friends were illegally riding ATVs in the park. Walder is on paid suspension while the shooting is investigated.
The Ramapough Lenape chief says his tribe has been targeted and one of its members murdered. The tribe is meeting with local leaders to discuss the matter on April 19.
