Plea deal reached for man who made terroristic threats in Monroe
The man accused of making a terroristic threat and triggering a bomb scare in Monroe last year reached a plea deal Tuesday.
Abdurrahman Qadan, 26, pleaded guilty to the charge in exchange for a shorter sentence.
The Oregon man will spend six months in jail and five years on probation. Normally, the sentence would be a two-year prison term.
The deal comes after a psychiatric report uncovered Qadan's mental health issues.
