An Orange County brewery is gaining major recognition after being given a high honor by beer-lovers online.

The Newburgh Brewing Company was voted the "top tap room" in New York by craft beer connoisseurs on ratebeer.com.

The Waterview company, located on South Colden Street, was started by three men back in 2012.

Since then, their beer has been sold throughout New York and parts of New Jersey.

They say their best-selling beer is their cream ale, one of their four original beers brewed back at the company's inception.

The brewery makes its own ales on site and has a large tap room and kitchen for customers to enjoy a craft beer with food.

Other local businesses that made the list for top craft beer spots in New York are the Peekskill Brewery, DeCicco's in Ardsley and the Half-time Bottle Shop in Mamaroneck.
