Gov. Andrew Cuomo was in the Hudson Valley Sunday to announce a plan to fast-track a major, local infrastructure project.

At a press conference at the Thruway maintenance facility, Cuomo revealed that $150 million will be spent to rebuild the Woodbury Transit and Economic Development Hub much faster than originally promised.

Instead of finishing the project in 2024, it will now be built by the year 2019.

The project will include the expansion of the busy Route 32 corridor, cashless tolling on I-87 and the replacement of old bridges, with the goal of easing congestion.  

Cuomo says the project will strengthen the local Orange County economy, adding more than 600 jobs in the mid-Hudson region.
