TARRYTOWN -

A traffic alert has been issued for the Tappan Zee Bridge this week

Work on the tolls is expected to squeeze traffic down to one lane every night this week.

Two lanes on the southbound/eastbound side of the Thruway will be closed starting at 8 p.m. from exit 12 in West Nyack to the bridge. At 11 p.m., three lanes will be shut down with one lane will remaining open at all times.

All lanes will reopen at 5 a.m. The work ends Friday.
