Funeral arrangements set for Pearl River student

Posted: Updated:

Funeral arrangements have been set for a college student from Rockland County who died at a party in upstate New York.

A Mass will be held Thursday for Conor Donnelly at the St. Aedan Church in Pearl River.

Police say Donnelly died Saturday after falling from a balcony at an off-campus fraternity house near SUNY-Binghamton. They say the 18-year-old was trying to climb from a fourth-floor balcony to a third-floor balcony.

Donnelly was the in process of pledging the fraternity. Autopsy findings show alcohol was a factor in the accident.

Police say his death was ruled accidental, and there was no evidence that it was the result of hazing.
