Weather: Nor’easter brings at least a foot of snow to region

Posted: Updated:

Conditions started to improve in the Hudson Valley Tuesday evening after the nor'easter brought over a foot of snow to most areas.

News 12 meteorologists say the storm is pushing off to the northeast, leaving just a few lingering snow showers for the rest of the evening.

Winds were still gusty in the region and temperatures were in the mid-20s.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo issued a state of emergency for New York. Cuomo also announced temporary tractor-trailer bans on interstates on I-81, I-84, I-86/Route 17, I-88 and all of the New York State Thruway.
