UPPER GRANDVIEW -

A busy road is back open after a tree toppled over in Rockland County overnight.

Route 9W was closed from Upper Grandview to Piermont after a large tree fell across the road.

Crews worked quickly to chop up the tree and clear the limbs, and the road was able to reopen around 6 a.m. today.

Rain and wind are being blamed for the downed tree.
