State police say they arrested a man who allegedly killed a tow truck driver in Harrison back in December.
Last December, 32-year-old Salvatore Brescia was killed while loading a disabled car onto his flatbed tow truck on I-95 in Harrison.
Following a three-month investigation, state police arrested 52-year-old Anthony Mangano, of Queens, for allegedly passing by Brescia, striking him and then leaving him alone to die.
Mangano is charged with leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident.
State police say a few small pieces of broken plastic left at the scene from Mangano's car helped police track down car dealers and eventually Mangano, who is a substitute driver for a trucking company in Queens.
Mangano is scheduled to appear in the town of Harrison court in two weeks.
