Forecast: Cloudy Monday with scattered sprinkles, highs in the 50s

Cloudy skies will be overhead to kick off the work week in the Garden State.

News 12 New Jersey meteorologists said Monday will see cloudy skies and scattered sprinkles or light showers. High temperature will be around 50 degrees.

Expect increasing cloud coverage overnight, with periods of rain and fog. Low temperatures will be in the mid-40s. 

Steadier rain is in the forecast for Tuesday. News 12 New Jersey meteorologists said showers could be heavy at times, and temperatures will near 60 degrees.

The rain moves out by Wednesday, which will see lots of sunshine. Temperatures will be cooler, though, with highs topping out around 45 degrees.
