Forecast: Temps dip overnight; rain possible Friday afternoon

EDISON -

New Jersey saw mostly sunny skies with warm temperatures in the upper-60s Thursday.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says that temperatures are expected to cool overnight with rain developing by Friday.

Thursday’s overnight hours should see cloudy skies with temperatures dipping into the 40s.

Friday should see mostly cloudy conditions with rain expected in the afternoon. Temperatures should warm into the low-60s.

Saturday is also expected to see cloudy skies with passing rain showers possible in the afternoon and evening hours. Temperatures should reach the upper-60s.

Sunday should see better weather with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the upper-50s.

Temperatures next week are expected to continue to warm with temperatures in the 80s possible by the middle of the week.
