Forecast: Temps drop overnight; Sunny weekend ahead

New Jersey saw mostly sunny skies but below-average temperatures Friday.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says that temperatures are expected to drop into the 20s overnight. The National Weather Service issued a frost advisory for some areas in the southern half of the state.

Friday’s overnight hours should see mostly clear skies with temperatures in the 20s and 30s.

Saturday is expected to see mostly sunny skies. Temperatures should be mild in the upper-50s, which is still a bit cooler than this time of year usually is.

Sunday is expected to see mostly sunny skies and temperatures around 60 degrees.

Sunny skies should continue until at least Tuesday.
