Tuckahoe chocolate cafe serves up Mother's Day treats

A booming business in Tuckahoe takes extra time and care when getting ready for Mother's Day.
Sabrina Seetarram, owner of The Chocolate Box, says the cafe starts preparing the holiday two weeks in advance.
"The strawberries, I picked up on Friday," she says. "We started washing them and getting them all ready people wanted to pick them up on Friday, and they couldn't because strawberries don't last that long. We wanted everybody to be happy when they opened their present."
Seetarram opened the store in January, and the business is enjoying a well-deserved success under the watchful eyes of Seetarram's grandmother, who once owned her own baking company.
"The chocolate here is just so good and it's like nothing that you can buy anywhere else, especially if you go to the store, even a Godiva chain or anything," Seetarram says. "It's just really special here."
The Chocolate Box also features coffee, breakfast pastries, soups and sandwiches, all made from scratch.
