HARTSDALE -

News 12 has learned that a person was hit by a train in Hartsdale on Sunday.

MTA police say a man was “trespassing” and was hit by a northbound train that originated at Grand Central.

Sources tell News 12 that the incident appears to have been a suicide.

Delays were reported on the Harlem Line following the incident.

The incident follows another event last week in Valhalla after a man accidentally stepped on the gas instead of the brake and went through the railing moments before a train arrived from the city. There was also a train derailment in Rye last week.
