Students face assault charges after attack in Orange County

Two Orange County high school students are facing assault charges after allegedly attacking a 15-year-old student this week.
Police say the fight broke out in the Washingtonville High School cafeteria on Monday morning. They say the victim, who was allegedly dragged by the two students during a melee, is recovering from minor injuries.
At least one student stood by to take cellphone video, as one of the teen's attackers smiles and then is seemingly heard initiating the fight.
The two teens who allegedly started the fight are 14 and 15, according to police.
The district says it is taking "swift" action against the students, although it is unclear what prompted the attack.
Police say the charges against the underage students have been turned over to Orange County Probation and Family Court.
A school monitor was also punched in the face while trying to break the fight up.
