NEWARK -

Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey is back open this morning after a plane caught fire on the tarmac.

A United Airlines jet was getting ready to take off for San Francisco last night when flames sparked in one of the engines.

Emergency crews were called in, and the airport closed for safety reasons.

A passenger posted video on Twitter showing fellow passengers and crew members being evacuated from the plane on air-filled slides.

Five people suffered minor injuries.
