A man who has served over 15 years in jail for murder will appear in court today as he prepares for his fifth trial in the case.
Selwyn Days, 51, formerly of Mount Vernon, is accused of fatally stabbing Eastchester millionaire Archie Harris and his caretaker Betty Ramcharan over 20 years ago. His previous trials ended in mistrials, and there even was a conviction that was overturned.
Days is seeking to be out on bail during the upcoming trial, which is scheduled for September.
Days’ attorney says none of his client's DNA was found at the scene and that Days was hundreds of miles away at the time of the killings.
