Cardone announces bid for Monroe town supervisor

Monroe Councilman Tony Cardone announced he is running against Monroe Town Supervisor Harley Doles in November's race.
The two have been at odds for months about how the town should be run. Last year, Cardone called the police on Doles during an alleged tirade at town hall.
Doles has faced scrutiny since taking office in 2014 for backing controversial expansion plans in the Hasidic village of Kiryas Joel.
Cardone says a change in leadership is needed.
Doles says he questions Cardone's voting history, saying by phone that the councilman has "cast Monroe into uncertainty - increasing taxes and plummeting home values."

Cardone denies those accusations.
