SPRING VALLEY -

A Spring Valley man has been convicted of trying to murder his ex-girlfriend.

A Rockland County jury found Jonathan McNeil, 23, guilty of attempted murder, assault and other charges.

Prosecutors say McNeil fired shots at his ex-girlfriend and a male friend as she was being dropped off at her Hillcrest home last July. The woman was hit in the leg by one of the shots. McNeil also smashed the rear window of the male victim’s car with a baseball bat.

McNeil faces 25 years in prison.
