CHAPPAQUA -

Closing arguments are underway in the trial of the man accused of attempting to kill his former boss in Chappaqua.

Dr. Dennis Charney took the stand last week in the attempted murder case against one of his former researchers, Hengjun Chao.

Charney testified to hearing a loud boom and seeing blood on his shoulder after he was shot outside Lange's deli last August.

Prosecutors say Chao ambushed his former boss as revenge for firing him over allegedly manipulating data.
