College of New Rochelle lays off workersPosted: Updated:
The College of New Rochelle laid off another round of workers this week.
According to a statement on the school's website, 32 people were let go on Monday, including 10 tenured faculty members.
The college laid off a prior wave of staffers in October, when the school revealed it owed $30 million in payroll taxes. The latest layoffs will save the private Catholic school about $4.5 million a year, according to officials.
The scandal led to the resignation of several high ranking administrators.
No other layoffs are expected.
