HS vice principal barricaded exit to stop students from leaving

A Rockland high school is getting some unwanted attention after an administrator barricaded an exit to prevent students from leaving.
The district confirmed a vice principal at Spring Valley High School was apparently trying to prevent students from leaving early after exams.
While no one was hurt, it was still a safety violation, according to Spring Valley fire officials.
District administration said Wednesday that the incident has been "taken care of" but wouldn't comment on what, if any, disciplinary action was taken against the vice principal.
The New York State Education Department is responsible for overseeing violations in schools. News 12 placed calls to the department but has not heard back.
