A Pearl River man behind a 2015 drunken driving crash could be heading to prison again.

According to a judge, 50-year-old Matthew Beckerle violated his probation by failing to tell his probation officer that he was recently arrested.

Beckerle served six months in jail after pleading guilty to seriously injuring five people in a drunken driving crash in Bardonia. He was then given five years’ probation.

Shortly after that, he was arrested again. News 12 has learned that Beckerle was accused of stalking one of the victims in the crash, shoplifting and getting into an altercation with a police officer.

Beckerle could face one to three years in state prison. He is scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 12.
