YONKERS -

Fans of a century-old garden in Yonkers are trying to raise money to fully restore the property.

Untermeyer Gardens is hidden off North Broadway and has been called "America's greatest forgotten garden."

Officials say it's the only major garden free to the public, but it's in need of costly repairs.

The city of Yonkers owns the garden and offers tours on Sundays.
