Police: Man barricaded with family in Yorktown home

A Yorktown man barricaded himself inside a home with his family, police say.
Authorities say they believe the man inside the home was armed with a rifle, with his wife and children believed to be inside as well.
News 12 is told the home is located off of Route 202 and appears to be between a warehouse and a possibly abandoned home.
A large portion of Route 202 was blocked off, and traffic was being diverted.
The Westchester County Special Response Unit, Hazardous Materials Unit and police responded to the home, authorities say.
Witness Katie Peterson told News 12 that she saw cops screaming, hiding behind dumpsters and cars, with guns pointed at the home.
The homeowner is believed to be an army veteran.
