YONKERS -

Two men were hospitalized after a drive-by shooting Tuesday evening on Van Cortlandt Avenue in Nyack.

The shooting took place just after 11 p.m., and many residents say they couldn't distinguish between the Fourth of July fireworks and gun fire.

Witnesses say the suspects fired the shots out of their car and sped off. One victim was shot in the neck and stomach. The other victim was shot in the leg. Police say both men are in the hospital in stable condition.

No arrests have been made.
