NEW CITY -

A Spring Valley man accused of hitting and killing a baby with his car during a road rage incident last month faced a judge Tuesday to hear the new charges against him.

Albert Gomez, 62, pleaded not guilty to manslaughter charges in a Rockland County court. He also faces a slew of felony charges including manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide and assault.

Police say Gomez was driving on the shoulder on Route 59 in Monsey last month when he hit a mom and her three children. The 3-month-old boy later died. His mother and two siblings are still recovering.

Gomez is expected to appear back in court on Aug. 8. and Sept. 19. He remains at Rockland County Jail on $150,000 bail.
