Hudson Valley comes to aid of Harvey victims

Posted: Updated:
PORT CHESTER -

People across the Hudson Valley are coming together to bring aid to the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Some of this effort includes two local Red Cross volunteers driving down an emergency response vehicle filled with bottles of water and snacks for hurricane victims.

Azline Kemp, who is from Biloxi but calls Port Chester home, has turned her apartment into a warehouse to collect supplies for the Red Cross for victims in Houston.

Kemp says the hurricane hits close to home because her mother lost everything in Hurricane Katrina.

She also says her friend in Texas is missing.

"I've been trying to call but I’m not getting through,” she says.
