Fugitives spotted in the Hudson Valley arrested in New Orleans

BLOOMINGBURG -

Authorities have caught two Tennessee fugitives who were spotted in the Hudson Valley during their four months on the run.

“Most Wanted" Tennessee couple Jarret Heitman and Mikayla Stilwell were arrested separately last week in New Orleans. The duo had fled to the Hudson Valley in June.

Heitman was picked up on Thursday for shoplifting. His girlfriend Stilwell was picked up on Sunday.

The pair was considered armed and dangerous after evading police capture in Tennessee on multiple charges, including attempted murder and kidnapping.

While on the run, the couple was spotted in the Bloomingburg area. It's believed they were involved in a violent home invasion there.

The duo was picked up by U.S. marshals and is waiting to be extradited to Tennessee.

There is no word from New York State Police about whether Stilwell and Heitman will be charged in connection with the home invasion in Bloomingburg.
