YONKERS -

A Yonkers man pleaded not guilty today to second-degree murder charges in the death of his wife.

Joseph Abraham, 54, is accused of fatally stabbing his wife, 25-year-old Amanda Trenck, inside their apartment at 59 Van Cortlandt Park Ave.  after a domestic dispute in May.

Police say after stabbing his wife multiple times in her bedroom, Abraham then tried to take his own life by cutting his wrists.

Family members found the couple and called 911.

Abraham is also charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. He was remanded back to the Westchester County Jail. He's expected back in court on Sept. 21.
