Hundreds of family and friends said their final goodbyes Monday to a Yonkers firefighter who lost a courageous battle with a 9/11-related illness.
Neil Tyndal, of Engine Company 304 on Radford Street, passed away last week from a ground zero-related cancer.
The ceremony for the 48-year-old took place at St. Barnabas Church.
Friends say Tyndal was not only devoted to his career, but was also a true family man who played a big role in the community.
He leaves behind his wife and two children.
