Cheddar Morning Business Update 10/12: Southwest Airlines to fly to Hawaii

Posted: Updated:

NEW YORK - Amazon is targeting teen shoppers.

The retailer will now give 13 to 17-year-olds an independent log so they can browse items and make purchases. However, parents get a text or e-mail first and they can yes or no about the item.

Meanwhile, virtual reality is becoming more of a reality. Facebook is lowering the price of its standalone VR headset called "Oculus Go." The headset doesn't require a phone or computer to work and will be available in early 2018 for $199 dollars.

Lastly, Southwest Airlines has announced it plans to launch service to Hawaii next year.

Unlike most American airlines, Southwest still lets travelers bring bags for free and has a no fee model.
